Garage Store was recommended to us by friends. We called around and found GS to be competitively priced. They were the first company to get back to us right away and even gave us an in person estimate. Other companies gave us quotes over the phone, but GS came out even tho we’re approx 40miles from their business. They pointed out some concrete issues and helped us decide the best treatment so we could keep the costs down. The owner came out to help us when we decided to add more work, and he was very helpful in making sure they could finish the job asap. Overall we are very happy with the work they did, and our garage now looks great and is well organized.

Our garage floor paint was peeling up and our concrete was starting to crack and was getting divots due to years of salt and water seeping into the floor. We contacted the Garage store because of the great ratings. The crew did a great job! The floor looks outstanding after they ground the concrete and removed the original paint. The filled all cracks, etched/treated the floor and applied several coats of specialized paint with the sparkling sprinkled flakes that added a great texture. We are very happy with the professional job they did. We paid slightly more than six dollars per square foot. Worth every penny.

I am beyond happy with Jim and his crew. I hired them to epoxy my garage floor and my walkway and front porch. I had “stuff” in my garage that I couldn’t remove, so he provided a trailer and a crew to remove it all and put it back after it was done. It looks beautiful.

I called The Garage Store for a quote regarding the repair / sealing of my quickly deteriorating garage floor. They came in, measured, scheduled and completed the floor in my garage per specs. and quote. It wasn’t an easy install as there were permanent work benches and stairs involved.

Garage Store nailed it! Seriously couldn’t be happier with our project, from start to finish it was a great experience. Our project consisted of a 2 car garage and a separate single car garage, removal and disposal of old shelving, new flooring and new organization systems. Nic was fantastic to work with, very patient and knowledgeable. Assessed our space with attention to detail and brought great ideas without being pushy. I am absolutely critical in my reviews and that’s because there are only a few businesses that you get what you actually pay for including work that is done right. You definitely get what you pay for using Garage Store. My experience with them was nothing short of extreme professionalism as well as great workmanship. I had two 4×8’s and one 4×6 overhanging garage shelves installed in my garage.

If you’re familiar with this shelving system, it supports about 600-800 lbs when installed right into the joists in your ceilings. If you think you’re handy and you order a set, it’ll still take you a long time to figure out the right way to install these shelves. I took no chances as I didn’t want to find my vehicles buried under a pile of crap from not being installed right. If you live in the city, your garage most likely has a sheet of drywall covering the ceiling and its also braced with with aluminum studs. Unless you’re familiar with construction, finding the wooden ceiling joists are difficult even with a stud finder. Now, throw in a construction crew that didn’t bother to do things with right angles and you’ll never figure it out unless you cut holes in your ceiling.

Jim was prompt during the initial quotation visit. They provided several options on the best way to secure the shelves. The day of the appointment, Anthony arrived and was early. He spent a good amount of his day working and making sure everything was right. He definitely knows what he’s doing and didn’t miss a beat installing the shelves. After sitting outside and watching him install the shelves, I was glad I didn’t do it myself. He accommodated all my requests in securing it into the concrete wall and making sure everything was sturdy. If I didn’t have that much junk in my home, I’d consider turning the shelves into a overhanging beds and renting out my garage.

If you’re in the Chicagoland area, these are the most reliable guys that can do the install for you even if you decided to purchase the shelves yourself through Costco or Home Depot. Having these pros do it is money well spent and for peace of mind.
